Born and raised in Lexington, Kate has significant experience in the food and beverage industry as well as in general administration. Most recently, she has served as Lexington Township Clerk and also has played key roles at popular local establishments, including the Windjammer restaurant and Lexington Brewery. Admired for her hospitality skills, Kate knows everyone in town and has a broad fan base throughout the surrounding area.
Chef Nick is returning to the area, having established himself as a notable culinary talent in several Midwest cities. Most recently, he served as the assistant executive chef for the nationally known, Indianapolis-based restaurant group, Patachou, Inc, founded by Martha Hoover. While at Patachou, Chef Nick played a key role with two of the group’s renowned restaurants, Public Greens and Petite Chou, and often served to help refresh and continuously improve other operations. He has also worked in the kitchens of several well-known Michigan restaurants, including Atlas Global Bistro in Detroit, the Old Club on Harsen’s Island, and the Van Camp House in Port Sanilac. Chef Nick was also a founder and co-owner of Kate’s Downtown in Port Huron. He is excited to be returning to Michigan with his wife, who is a Port Huron native.
